Why study for the Professional DFSM®?
The Professional DFSM® is a specialist qualification designed to equip employees of Fortis with the essential foundation knowledge and skills needed to be an effective manager in the financial services sector.

Entry requirements
You must be a current employee of Fortis.
Students are required to have a minimum of GCSE grade C or equivalent in English Language and Maths. You must also have a level of proficiency, as exemplified for example by GCSE standard, in ICT. If you are unsure whether you meet these requirements, please check with an HE Adviser on +01227 828232 or email abops@ifslearning.ac.uk.

You will need to have Internet and email access throughout your course of study, and to access the online student induction and syllabus.
Qualification level
The Professional DFSM® is assessed at first year UK undergraduate degree level.
Study time
The recommended study time for each module is approximately 300 hours.
How do I study?
You must follow an approved course of study provided by ifs flexible learning, which includes three workshops per module. Please see Study support and exam information for Diplomas for more information.
Study support
On registration for the modules you will be sent a dedicated set of learning materials.
You will be given access to the ifs Interactive Learning Environment (my ifsILE), which includes online versions of the materials, online self-assessment and discussion forums.
You will be given access to ifs KnowledgeBank for all modules.
Assessment
The Professional DFSM® is assessed and awarded by the ifs School of Finance.
